International students are an important part of Seattle Pacific University. A vibrant and active international population, SPU’s international students represent about 35 different countries.

Should I apply as a freshman, transfer student, or post-baccalaureate student?
  • Apply as a freshman if you are coming to SPU directly after your high school graduation.
  • Apply as a transfer student if you earned transferable credit from a college or university, but not a bachelor’s degree.
  • Apply as a post-baccalaureate student if you have already earned a bachelor’s degree and are seeking additional baccalaureate-level studies.
  • Apply as a graduate student if you want admission to a master’s-level program.

Autumn Quarter Dates (begins late September and ends mid-December)

Autumn Quarter Early Action EXTENDED Deadline for First-Year Students 

Make sure to apply "early action" if you want an earlier admission decision.

January 15

Autumn Quarter Deadline for First-Year Students

April 1

Autumn Quarter Early Action Deadline for Transfer Students or Post-Baccalaureate* Students 

Make sure to apply "early action" if you want priority housing and on class registration.

July 1

Autumn Quarter Regular Deadline for Transfer Students or Post-Baccalaureate* Students

Winter Quarter (begins early January and ends mid-March)

*If you are a transfer or post-baccalaureate student and want direct admission to nursing, you may apply only for Autumn Quarter admission. The nursing application deadline is January 15. 

If you intend to study nursing but are not yet ready to apply for the major, you are welcome to apply for admission to the University in the Autumn, Winter, or Spring quarter.
