Mikaela Wilburn, Class of 2016

Mikaela Wilburn, Class of 2016

Call her involved. Mikaela Wilburn, an Apparel Design major from San Pablo, California, doesn’t seem to lack energy — or drive. She’s involved with MODE, the fashion club at SPU.

She’s also been a leader at Orientation and in the residence halls. She served as a resident advisor, and has also worked as a student office assistant in the School of Education.

“I’ve done everything from playing intramural sports to planning movie nights,” she explains. “I love being involved in the community here.”

Mikaela also appreciates the opportunities to grow in her Christian faith at SPU.

“Faith is even part of classes for my intended major,” she says. “Having that opportunity has helped me personally grow and learn.”

Micah Lund

Micah Lund

Micah Lund knows what it takes to get involved. The Urban Involvement program connected him to the Neighborhood House program in South Seattle.

Katie Couch

Katie Couch

Katie Couch might be new to SPU, but that hasn’t stopped the intended Biochemistry major from Ione, Washington, from jumping into service and a full plate of activities.
