As a career counselor at the CCC, Kimberly Petersen helps students align their identities with their aspirations, assisting them as they explore their strengths, values, interests, and calling. In her role, Kimberly also helps students learn processes for discernment and decision-making, and develop strategies and skills that connect their gifts to purposeful work. She provides career counseling, teaches career-development courses, and collaborates with faculty and staff to promote the development of students.
Prior to joining the Center for Career and Calling, Kimberly worked as a career counselor at the University of Washington Career Center, career services coordinator and counselor at the University of Washington Counseling Center, and college instructor at Bellevue College and the Art Institute of Seattle. She’s also served for more over 10 years in private practice as a counselor and organizational consultant, and 12 years in human resource management roles in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Kimberly is delighted to be working at the Center for Career and Calling, where her love of counseling, collaborating, and whole-person development coalesce.
