Christina Longcor earned her master of arts in career development from John F. Kennedy University and her bachelor of arts in psychology from Trinity Western University. She became affiliated with the Association for Psychological Type International in 2007, the California Career Development Association in 2005, and the National Career Development Association in 2004.
In 1998, Christina began her career in counseling as a support counselor for Future Families Inc., helping families and children in the foster care system. She worked as the assistant director of career services at California Maritime Academy from 2009 to 2014. Christina also instructed a career search and college success class at Palomar College, where she provided career assessments, group interpretations, and resources regarding students’ career goals.
In September 2014, Christina began serving as a career counselor for the Center for Career and Calling at Seattle Pacific University. She currently teaches BUS 2910 and BUS 4942, classes that fulfill the internship requirement for business students at SPU. Christina enjoys inspiring, motivating, and encouraging students to reach their career goals, reminding them, “Never underestimate the impact of one.”
