Seattle Pacific’s BSN, MSN, DNP and post-graduate APRN programs are approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Seattle Pacific University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
The Health and Human Performance Department is a member of the American Kinesiology Association. When you major in Exercise Science, upon graduation you are well prepared to pursue national certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and/or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
The following programs at Seattle Pacific University have met the American Nurse Credentialing Center's certification eligibility educational requirements:
- Family Nurse Practitioner Program, Master of Science program
- Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Master of Science program
- Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Master of Science program
Students who complete one of these programs have the educational preparation to sit for the ANCC certification examination in that role and population. Applicants must also meet any additional eligibility criteria in effect when they apply for certification.
